New Opportunities, New Capabilities, National Growth

As we move further into 2026, we’re seeing a clear shift in where opportunities, challenges and growth are emerging across the Local Government sector.

At CT Management Group, our focus continues to evolve alongside our clients with a strong emphasis on supporting councils across New South Wales and Queensland, where demand for specialist capability, advisory services and project delivery is continuing to grow.

Strengthening Capability Where It’s Needed Most

To support this demand, we are actively expanding our Associate Network across NSW and Queensland, with a focus on bringing in highly specialised expertise aligned to the needs of clients in these regions.

This approach ensures we can continue to provide targeted, high-quality support whether that be in asset management, financial sustainability, project delivery or governance.

At the same time, we are continuing to strengthen our presence across our national panel network, which remains a critical pathway for councils to access our services efficiently and with confidence. We encourage clients to explore the breadth of panels available nationally and how these can support your organisation’s procurement and delivery needs.

Investing in Knowledge & Capability – New Training Opportunities

A key focus for CT Management Group in 2026 is the introduction of new training and capability-building programs designed to support local government and public sector professionals.

We are pleased to announce the launch of CT Management Group Academy a new professional learning arm of the business focused on delivering practical, real-world training aligned to the challenges facing the sector.

Delivered in partnership with our Stratergice Allainec partnership Scott Alden, Partner | Government & Commercial Law, Mills Oakley, this course provides practical insights grounded in real-world local government experience.

CT Management Group clients will receive early access opportunities, and places are limited for this initial NSW pilot intake.

In addition, we continue to support capability development in Victoria through our Development Engineering Foundations training, delivered in partnership with one of our specialist Associates.

These initiatives reflect our broader commitment to strengthening sector capability, knowledge-sharing and practical professional development.

Expanding Our Advisory Offering

We are also continuing to evolve our service offering in response to client needs.

Recently, we launched our Property Advisory Services, providing councils with access to specialist expertise across property strategy, planning and advisory. This is one of several new solution areas designed to respond to emerging priorities across the sector.

You will also begin to see the rollout of our Leisure and Open Space Planning portfolio, which will introduce a suite of nine integrated service offerings to support councils in long-term planning, asset optimisation and community outcomes.

Insights That Matter

We recognise that councils are operating in an increasingly complex environment, and access to timely, relevant insights is critical.

You will notice an increased focus on thought leadership, articles and practical resources across our website and social channels, covering key issues impacting the sector.

An upcoming focus area will be fleet management and cost pressures, particularly in light of global factors such as fuel volatility and supply chain impacts. We will be sharing practical insights and hosting an information session to support councils in understanding and managing these risks.

Looking Ahead

This year marks a significant milestone for CT Management Group as we celebrate our 30-year anniversary.

It is an opportunity to reflect on the strength of our relationships, the depth of our expertise, and the important role we continue to play in supporting Local Government and our clients across Australia.

More importantly, it is a moment to look forward to new opportunities, new markets, and new ways we can continue to support our clients.

We remain committed to working alongside our clients to deliver practical, high-impact solutions, and to ensuring we are positioned where support is needed most particularly across New South Wales and Queensland as these markets continue to grow.
